Looking for practical work rather than a certification? See practical programs.
You know where you want to go. Which training helps you get started?
Perhaps you want to move into GRC, take on AI governance responsibilities, or develop knowledge for advisory work.
You see Foundation, Lead Implementer, Lead Auditor, and specialist courses. But their names alone may not tell you which one fits your goal.
The challenge is connecting the training you choose to the work you want to understand and perform.
What do you need to know before you take that next step?
You are considering a new role, but you are unsure which training fits.
Your organization asks you to help with security or AI oversight, and you want a stronger foundation.
Or a potential client asks about preparing for an audit or managing AI risks. You want to understand what the work involves before promising to deliver it.
The question is the same: “Am I choosing training that helps me prepare for the responsibilities ahead?”
These are illustrative situations, not learner testimonials.
Start with the work. Then choose the training.
A useful training choice connects your knowledge, your goals, and the responsibilities you want to develop toward.
Foundation introduces concepts and requirements of a standard. Lead Implementer focuses on establishing and improving a management system. Lead Auditor focuses on assessing one against requirements. Specialist courses address particular areas of management and risk.
The right starting point depends on your knowledge and goals. Completing training is one part of development; practical experience and the requirements of an employer, client assignment, or professional credential also matter.

For a role inside an organization, explore concepts, standards, and methods relevant to responsibilities in information security, AI governance, risk, cybersecurity, or cloud security.

- Foundation: Explain the key concepts and requirements of a standard.
- Lead Implementer: Help organizations build and improve management systems.
- Lead Auditor: Audit management systems against standards.

Every ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 42001 course you buy from us includes exam support: a study plan, practice questions with explanations, a practice assessment, an exam-day checklist, and office hours with Dr. Rose Shumba every two weeks for 90 days from enrollment.
Companion Portfolios for PECB Learners
Separately purchased Tech Academy programs for learners who want practical work to show employers. Choose the portfolio that matches your knowledge of the standard and course level. Matching training may be completed or in progress. Review the specific knowledge requirements before enrolling. Portfolio work uses a fictional company case, with written feedback on the work.
Each portfolio gives you the TechFlow case, templates, and guided tasks. The lessons come from your PECB course. In the portfolio, you create the documents yourself for TechFlow Solutions, a fictional company, and record the reasoning behind every decision, so you can explain your work in an interview, workplace discussion, or advisory conversation. Present the work as simulated learning projects, not completed client engagements.
Learn it. Build and defend it. Use it professionally.
Portfolios to Complement Your PECB Course
Each program includes one written review per step, returned within 3 working days, plus 90 days of support and office hours every two weeks. Support begins when you enroll in the portfolio program.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this for people seeking employment or consulting work?
Both. Courses can help you develop knowledge relevant to roles inside organizations or advisory work. The right course depends on your goals, existing experience, and the responsibilities you are preparing for.
Can I begin without professional experience?
Introductory options are available. ISO/IEC 42001 Foundation has no training prerequisites. Check each course page for any course prerequisites and certification requirements; advanced credentials may have experience conditions.
Should aspiring consultants choose Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor?
It depends on the work you want to understand. Lead Implementer training focuses on establishing and improving a management system; Lead Auditor training focuses on assessing it against requirements.
Can training support a move into consulting?
Training can help you develop relevant knowledge. Readiness for consulting also depends on your experience, assignment scope, and any supervision, qualifications, or authorization required. A course does not guarantee client contracts.
Does training qualify me to take any client assignment?
No. Suitability depends on your demonstrated skills, experience, assignment scope, and the requirements of the client or applicable professional rules.
Is a portfolio included with PECB training?
No. Selected companion portfolios are separate Tech Academy programs. They can be purchased independently from the PECB course.
Does passing an exam automatically award the full credential?
Not necessarily. PECB credentials are subject to the applicable examination and certification requirements listed by PECB.
Where can I find the delivery format, price, and terms?
Each course page and its checkout list the available delivery format, price, and inclusions.
